Sotaria was born out of a profound realisation by our founder and director, Shane Ogley, who stumbled upon a critical gap in the high-risk industries of oil, gas, and renewables.
About Us
While working on a project within these sectors, Shane was struck by the poor standard of safety inductions being administered. The training was not only over complicated and mind-numbingly boring, but it was also inefficient and failed to reflect the companies’ cultures and values.
Witnessing confused faces and disengaged employees, Shane knew something had to change. The existing safety protocols were not resonating with the workforce, posing significant risks in already hazardous environments. The lack of engaging and effective training materials was a problem that couldn’t be ignored.
Motivated by a desire to make a real difference, Shane assembled a team of experts in filmmaking, safety compliance, and educational design. Together, they envisioned a new approach, leveraging cinematic storytelling to create safety training that is not only informative but also captivating and memorable.
